An Investigator forms a part of an investigation team and heads the agency to find out the truths, facts about different cases involving crime, with sufficient scientific proofs. They have flat hierarchical structure and are headed by chief investigator or a director. They are responsible for supervision of criminals who are just released from prison so that they do not carry out any activities against the law. They supervise certain communities in certain states and make sure that no additional crimes are committed by people who are under the police scanner.
A master's or a doctorate in subjects such as criminal justice, counselling, psychology, law, etc. Some investigating agencies prefer investigator who possess at least two years of experience as a uniformed officer.
