Who is a Fabricators and what does he/she do?

Fabrication is the process of building machines, structures, with the help of high end technologies such as cutting, assembling, shaping, etc. Blacksmiths and boilermakers are mostly involved in fabricating of metals. They need to have knowledge about materials and mechanical engineering. It basically involves the structure of materials analyzed in macroscopic forms. It combines the knowledge of applied sciences and chemistry.
Fabricators see huge demand in forensic, materials manufacturing, moulding, welding, and disaster management such as failure analysis. Fabricators also find scope in polymers, semi conductors, metals, nano technology, crystallography, electronic & magnet materials, Ceramograhy, Tribology, glass sciences, textiles, etc. They are also responsible for design of automobiles, engines and power plants in heavy manufacturing industries like automobiles, ship manufacturing, air plane manufacturing, etc

Qualifications Required

M.Eng. or a Doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in mechanical engineering or even an accredited BSc degree in mechanical or materials engineering
