Who is a Ceramics Technologist and what does he/she do?

A Ceramics Technologist basically works on ceramic materials like ceramic tiles, ceramic flooring, etc. They're sponsible for research, development, production, and inspection of quality for ceramic materials and design new products suitable for various purposes like sanitary ware, porcelain, table ware, etc. It basically involves the structure of materials analyzed in macroscopic forms. It combines the knowledge of applied sciences, metallurgy and chemistry.
Ceramic Technologists see huge demand in forensic and disaster management such as failure analysis. They also find their scope in nano sciences and nano technology in the field of applied sciences.
