Pharmacist

Who is a Pharmacist and what does he/she do?

A Pharmacist is a professional in the health care industry, which basically practice the pharmacy, which deals with various medical drugs and its uses for treatment of different ailments. They take the prescriptions from the doctors and study the compatibility of that medicine and it’s after effects on medication.

Pharmacists also participate in controlling communicable and non-communicable diseases, which are easily transferrable. They collaborate with other health professionals and also optimize drugs to prevent overdoses to patients. They are responsible for overall public health services. They are normally trained in pharmacy, chemistry, micro biology, anatomy and drug related studies.

Qualifications Required

A master’s or a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy optical sciences, apart from a high school diploma or GED certificate is mandatory.
