An Ultrasound Technologist is a health care professional, who diagnosis the internal parts of human body using the techniques of sound waves with higher frequencies. They are specialized in neuro-sonography, related to the brain, echocardiography related to the heart and also abdominal parts.
They also need to be well versed in technical fields such as medical electronics, and bio medical as they should be capable in handling medical electronic devices in hospitals. Ultrasound technologists are required to receive one year training in handling ultra sound related devices.
A master’s degree or a bachelor’s degree in ultrasound is must.
