Epidermology is the scientific name of human body, a science related to the factors that affect the imbalance of public health.
Epidermologist identifies the risk factors that are affecting the general health of the public and evaluates measures to be undertaken which involves any outbreak of communicable and non communicable diseases in the region.
Such as volunteers, they help individuals to promote health through various sanitary measures in their vicinity. They need to undertake additional responsibilities such as soil and water testing, dairy production, sewage management and other waste management such as radioactive and toxic waste, controlling contagious diseases such as water borne and air borne diseases etc.
Epidermologists conduct several analytical studies of the region based on population samples and also develop statistical models to counter the risk of interaction of ailments.
A bachelor's degree and a doctoral degree from epidermology or a bachelor’s degree in medicine from a school in public health is must.
